Thanks for visiting the site and having a look at The Beach Boys publication of record, Endless Summer Quarterly magazine

Welcome to Endless Summer Quarterly; The Beach Boys Publication Of Record. It's been an amazing 30-plus years of publishing the magazine and as we enter 2024 we continue to celebrate and uncover new and previously undisclosed history and imagery. There is always something and someone new around each corner.

In the Spring 2024 edition (issue #145) of ESQ — The M.I.U. Album era, Vol 2 we continue our coverage of the M.I.U. Album era. With this issue, we peel back the layers on the formation of LoveSongs Productions by (the late) Ron Altbach, Mike Love, and Charles Lloyd. Interviews with Mike, Ron, Gary Griffin, Jeff Peters, Paul Fauerso, Rod Novak, Ed Tuleja, Michael Andreas, and Mary Anne Haines are included. Al Jardine, Ed Carter, and Rusty Ford add their voices to the conversation, and Ron’s brother, Jerry Altbach, starts everything off with the section introduction. Also included is an exclusive interview with film director, Peter Weiner (Marshall); director of the unreleased Making Waves (1977) and Our Team (1978) documentaries.

The Winter 2023 edition (issue #144) of ESQ — The M.I.U. Album era, Vol 1 features great in-depth interviews with Mike LoveAl Jardine, (the late) Ron AltbachGary GriffinMike KowalskiRusty Ford, and Jeff Peters. In addition to these telling conversations, there’s additional commentary with Ed Carter and Charles Lloyd. Rare studio images and an M.I.U. Album sessionography are included.

The Fall 2023 edition (issue #143) of ESQ — The Beach Boys '85, Vol 2 includes our extensive interview with The Beach Boys: An American Band director, writer, and producer Malcolm Leo. Malcolm shares intimate details about the filming and editing of An American Band and provides a treasure trove of behind-the-scenes stills from the documentary. Also featured is a new interview with musician/songwriter Jeffrey Foskett about his various experiences in the studio during this period, in addition to exclusive interviews with “Chasin’ The Sky” producer Spencer Proffer, and singer/songwriter Rand Bishop.

The Summer 2023 edition (issue #142) of ESQ — The Beach Boys '85, Vol 1 features interviews with The Beach Boys 1985 album producer Steve Levine and group manager Jerry Shilling.
